How does Google Maps work?

Google takes help of Crowd Sourcing to show you live traffic in your area. Crowd sourcing means when you open Google Maps on your phone you also contribute to the traffic around you. Google traces that whether you are steady at a single place or moving. Many people like you also make use of Google maps at the same time, Google makes use of different people at the same time and finds the average of all and represents it to you in the form of Heavy traffic in one region and no traffic in other. This is one such technique to monitor the traffic to your destination. Google also uses other techniques such as, various organizations have helped Google to setup sensors on highways which monitor the traffic and send the live condition of traffic. This was all about how Google maps work, now let's setup Offline Google maps.






How to save Google maps offline?

  1. Head to Google Maps. Open city where you want to travel to or where you live in. Click on the 3 bar menu.
  2. Click on Offline maps.
  3. Click on SELECT YOUR OWN MAP and press Download
That's it you can trace the map you have downloaded now without the Internet.
