VIRTUAL REALITY | Explained in SHORT

What is Virtual Reality?

Virtual Reality(VR) is a fully immersive computer-simulated environment that gives the user the feeling of being in that environment instead of the one they are actually in.

How can we experience VIRTUAL REALITY?

It is a concept with the help of which when we wear a headset, we go in such a world which we feel is real but actually, it is not. Google cardboard was the first step taken towards Virtual Reality.

There are two types of VR headsets.
  1. An accessory that you plug your smartphone into (for example Google cardboard).
  2. Stand alone unit which has a gyroscope, screen in it (for example HTC VIVE).
Google cardboard was such a headset in which if we place our smartphone in it would give us an experience of virtual reality

Daydream VR by Google

Recently Google launched its New VR headset named Daydream on 12 June 2017. So that users can use it to experience sports and live events in full 360-degree panoramic view. The headset and the controller will go on sale on the e-commerce platform, Flipkart.

For example, If we move our head towards right it would give us a right side view. We can see 360 Degree videos with the help of such headsets. Not only videos we can also play games like MODERN COMBAT using such headsets.

This VR technology is a cheap technology. To use this technology your phone should have a gyroscope. The gyroscope is such a hardware which tells the software that how much we move our head by how much angle, according to that whatever content is there comes on the screen.

Now you must have heard about AUGMENTED REALITY I will explain that in my next post.http://bit.ly/2rdWacy
